Donald Trump Responds to Cruz Accusations on National Enquirer Story - March 25, 2016

"I have no idea whether or not the cover story about Ted Cruz in this week's issue of the National Enquirer is true or not, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it, did not know about it, and have not, as yet, read it. Likewise, I have nothing to do with the National Enquirer and unlike Lyin’ Ted Cruz I do not surround myself with political hacks and henchmen and then pretend total innocence. Ted Cruz’s problem with the National Enquirer is his and his alone, and while they were right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others, I certainly hope they are not right about Lyin’ Ted Cruz. I look forward to spending the week in Wisconsin, winning the Republican nomination and ultimately the Presidency in order to Make America Great Again."

  1. People tend to ignore the timeline of events and claiming "the fight started when he hit me back". It really started on 3/8/16 FOX News, Neil Cavuto Show, when a Cruz operative Andrea McWilliams attacked Melania on a very slimy way. Cruz was quiet, never disavowed that libel. Then the ad in Utah… If Cruz didn't know about, as a top manager, alleged leader, he automatically disqualified himself from being President. Again, Cruz refused to warn his supporters to stay away from the mud, also, refused to apologize… Wasn't the time to respond?

  2. Mr Cruz is not a natural born citizen. Mr Cruz lies too much and too often. To win he needs to cheat and fraud his opponents and manipulate public opinion by blaming his opponents. He's just another politician. The dark side endorses him and he accepts their clandestine help. Reminds me of Nixon.

  3. IIRC, Mitt Romney also attacked Trump's wife in his Utah speech supporting Cruz. And long before that, Cruz supporter Glenn Beck attacked Trump's wife. In these and other instances Cruz expressed no objections.

Let's hope enough voters are paying attention and are not sleep walking. Cruz will never make the 1237 number and functions only as a spoiler or a vote splitter. At the convention, he would be swept aside and someone like Romney would be installed. That would be disastrous.

Now Cruz is blaming the NE story on Trump, and pundits such as Rush Limbaugh - who is employed by Mitt Romney's Bain Capital - is forwarding that line. So dishonest.
